OCTOBER 2008 — Longmont, Colorado expands city-wide surveillance system

Officials at Longmont, Colorado’s water treatment facility decided that deploying a video surveillance system at the city’s two plants would give citizens peace of mind that their critical public utility was secure. Volpe Industries designed and delivered a complete security system using an array of indoor/outdoor network cameras from Axis Communications and Volpe's own Eagle Eye DETEXI Network Video Recorder (NVR) software, allowing the city to leverage its existing network infrastructure. Longmont officials are now finding it easy to add more sites across the city to protect other important assets without overtaxing its annual budget.

AUGUST 2008 — Racine, WI Cracks Down on Crime with a Volpe IP Surveillance System

A spike in violent crime in Racine, WI has local police worried as six people are killed in just four months in the city. Volpe System Integrator (VIP) Dave Grebetz of ClearCom and area Volpe Sales Rep Jim Sulzer of Sulzer Consulting have provided a new level of security to the city with a high-tech IP Sureveillance system.
